Osama Bin Laden –What Happened to the People Who Helped Find Him?
Osama bin Laden was the most hunted man on the planet for many years but the U.S. Seals finally caught up with him in Pakistan and put an end to his reign of terror. The news made headlines all over the world; some celebrated and some mourned, however, his demise just added to the fuel of the mystery surrounding the man. Now the media is trying to find out just who were the people that finally killed him.
Everybody seems to forget that there were people in Pakistan that were instrumental and helped the U.S. find his hiding stronghold. Shortly after the news was released about bin Laden’s death five Pakistani people that allegedly helped the U.S. Seals were arrested. What has happened to them?
The Pakistan government reacted in a hostile manner to the news that our forces entered their country without advising them before hand about the raid, however, our intelligence reported Bin Laden’s presence and the Pakistan government denied all allegations. It was apparent that asking for assistance and cooperation would not be possible. It was also obvious that the window of of opportunity was small so the U.S. forces seized the moment to strike and get Bin Laden with little regard to the potential reaction of an unfriendly ally.
There seems to be more interest in the relationship between the United States and Pakistan than the individual people that reached out to help us find Bin Laden. It seems that this issue concerning these people has been swept under the rug to be forgotten about!
The United States finally is holding back a couple of million dollars of military aid but this is more in response to the diplomatic stress between the two countries.
The politicians make no sense; they ignore the people that helped us and then they do everything possible to prevent the execution of a convicted illegal alien that killed a young 16 year girl in Texas. The administration actually asked the Supreme Court to intervene because they are concerned that the United States might offend the Mexican government. It seems to me that the administration has their priorities wrong!
Why does the government try to save the life of a convicted illegal alien killer and then completely turn their backs on people that risked their lives to bring a terrorist to justice?
It seems that the United States has lost its place of influence in the world; the question that needs to be asked is this because of a lack of leadership or a matter of incompetence?
