locations in North Dakota and New Mexico. Once sleepy burgs are drawing
thousands of people in search of work. That influx is driving
construction growth and retail development opportunities in and around
the booming areas.

The US Census Bureau recently named the country’s fastest-growing micro areas,
which are regions containing one urban area with at least 10,000
people, but less than 50,000. The top micro areas include several
locations in North Dakota where oil drilling has spurred growth. The
fastest-growing micro area in the US is Williston, North Dakota, where
the population grew 8.8% from April 1, 2010 to July 1, 2011. Just four
years ago Williston typically built five to 10 new homes a year. Now
more than 2,000 permits for apartments, manufactured homes, and hotel
units are issued each year.

In addition to traditional permanent construction, these booming
towns are in need of quick solutions such as modular structures.
Companies such as Target Logistics (which specializes in temporary housing for remote work locations), Atco, and Champion Enterprises have supplied modular units for these areas."

To read the complete article CLICK HERE.

Before you drop everything to relocate; you need to know that housing is a real issue. It is scarce and if it is available it is expensive!

I saw a one bedroom trailer that was renting for $3,500 per month with a six month lease required.

Make no mistake; there are a lot of opportunities there now!

If you are still looking for employment, I would recommend that you check the area out!

Whatever Happened To Respect?

<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>

Whatever happened
to respect? Not too long
ago respect was something that was taken for granted. Respect was something that was just there; it
came naturally or was taught so it seemed to be natural.

What caused them
to disappear? Has the world become so
fast paced that respect and civility have become obsolete? If so; civilization may be on the endangered
list!

Teaching is a profession that no longer gets any
respect! The educators are targets for
politicians, parents and the press and even the students that they are teaching. The
students don’t respect them and if the teacher tries to discipline the students
they get sued.

If a teacher touches a student in any way they are called
perverts or child molesters!

I doubt
there is a successful person in the country that cannot look back and identify
a teacher that gave them the inspiration to become successful.   Sure;
there are a few bad apples in the system but they are few.

The main
criticism that is heard about the education system is how badly America is
doing compared with the rest of the world.
We need to remember that you can lead a horse to water but you cannot
make it drink! I know that the students
are not horses and learning is not like drinking but you cannot make somebody
learn if they do not want to!

There was a time when teachers were respected; if a note was
sent home because of any misbehavior the kid at fault was terrified of what his
mom and dad were going to do. The words
“wait until dad gets home” struck terror and sent the kids into a panic mode. It usually resulted in a trip to the wood
shed. Those trips always hurt dad more
than they did the kid!

Those days are gone!
How dare the teacher criticize little Johnny; the problem has to be the
teachers fault! If dad dared take his
child to the wood shed and word got out; dad would probably go to jail for
child abuse.

Parents need to step up and help their children; instead of
blaming others they should examine what they are doing to instill a desire for
education. Parents need to demonstrate
how important a good education is. It is
not something to take for granted!

Respect for
elders and the opposite sex are also gone!
There was a time when certain words were not spoken in public or in
mixed company. Now it is not uncommon to
hear offensive language on most public streets.
It almost seems that most young adults cannot have a conversation
without using four lettered words.

Parents used
to teach their children to respect others and not use obscene language in
public and if the parents heard their kid was talking like that; the kids had
their mouths washed out with soap.
Parents need to teach their children to carry on a conversation without
using four lettered words!

You used to
be able to pass by a group of youngsters without hearing foul language. Today it seems wiser to change directions and
avoid any gathering of the young if you don’t want to hear obscenities.

The saddest
thing is the foul language is from both genders! The guys don’t have a corner on that market!

What has
happened that made people lose respect for others? Is it because the world is moving at such a
fast pace that we lose focus on things that are really important.  The most valued things in life are free!  I’m talking about love and good health;
everything else can be replaced.

The world used to seem
slower, kinder and gentler. We used to
have time for a family! Now both parents
have to work to make ends meet. The kids
have to deal with a faster paced world and the family as a unit seems to be on
the endangered list.

The family is what gave
us a civilized world! We need to bring
it back into fashion. A good family life
filled with love and respect would do a lot to make the world a better place! Respect and love are learned t home. A good family life just might be the answer
to solve many of the other problems that we are facing!

The very least is; it
would be a good place to start!

There are many pendants out there these days that will tell you Federal jobs are all but extinct. However, recent data would argue that point and when it comes right down to it, the Federal job market is really no different than any other job market in the fact that there are plenty of opportunities to be had if you know where to look. So, what are some of the hot Federal jobs for 2012 and where can you find them?

Best Places to Be

Of course knowing that there are Federal jobs available is one thing, but where they are located is still another. While critics will argue this list to a certain extent, for the most part the cities that boast the best opportunities for Federal work as well as the happiest Federal workers continue to be:-----------

2. What Advice Do You Have For Job Searchers?

From The Huffington Post
Despite a slight dip in the unemployment rate recently, the hiring picture in the United States remains shaky at best -- with millions still out of work and many of them all but giving up their searches. But with a new year comes renewed optimism, and even the most cynical job seekers find that incentive, psychological or otherwise, to dust off their resumes and begin pounding the proverbial pavement once again. What can they do differently this time to stand out?

While every company is different and every employer has a unique set of criteria for job candidates, there are also certain qualities that can win them over. In some ways, being a job candidate is not much different than being a political candidate (minus, perhaps, the attack ads) and with that comes a certain degree of packaging -- appearance, presentation, talking points and the like. Believe it or not, despite high unemployment, many employers today complain that they still can't find the right people for their open positions. That spells opportunity.

So what advice do they have for all the eager job seekers out there? We asked our Board of Directors to pull back the curtain and share what qualities they look for when building their teams.

Step 1: Create a packing list

Create a packing list that includes only the items that are absolutely necessary for your trip — and stick to it.

A packing list will help you to stay focused. Most people use only about half of what they pack, so edit, edit, edit.

Step 2: Choose a carry on

Choose a carry on bag that has a
rectangular shape to maximize interior space. All carry on luggage
should measure less than 45 inches when the length, width, and height
are combined.

Step 3: Buy miniatures

Purchase miniature toiletries or
fill small bottles with shampoo, conditioner, soap, or lotion and place
them in sealable plastic bags.

Step 4: Choose multi-function clothes

Choose multi-function clothing
items that can be worn more than once. If you are traveling in a cool
climate, choose a sweater or jacket that can be worn with multiple tops
or bottoms.

If you are going to be
away for a long period, you may want to pack laundry detergent to keep
the clothing you pack to a minimum.

Step 5: Roll your clothes

Roll your clothes instead of folding. This will maximize your space and keep you from having to iron later on.

Be a smart, one-bag packer. This
will set you apart from the poor souls that paid extra and still have to

In recent years deep-frying turkeys has become increasingly popular. The cooking method requires placing the turkey in three gallons or more of oil, heated by propane. The Avondale Fire Rescue Professionals warn that cooking with deep-fat turkey fryers can be very dangerous as they have a high risk of tipping over, overheating, or spilling hot oil. That could lead to fires, burns, or other injuries.

Dangers of Frying a Turkey

Here are 5 dangers associated with deep frying a turkey, according to the Avondale Fire Department.

Units can easily tip over, spilling hot cooking oil over a large area.

An overfilled cooking pot or partially frozen turkey will cause cooking oil to spill when the turkey is inserted.

A small amount of cooking oil coming into contact with the burner can cause a large fire.

Without thermostat controls, deep fryers have the potential to overheat the oil to the point of combustion.

The sides of the cooking pot, lid and pot handles can get dangerously hot, creating severe burn hazards.

Avondale Fire Rescue advises against using a turkey fryer. If you decide to do it anyway, these precautions should be followed.

If You Fry a Turkey

Fryers should always be used outdoors, on a solid level surface a safe distance from buildings and flamable materials.

Never use a fryer on a wooden deck, under a patio cover, in a garage or enclosed space.

Do not overfill the fryer.

Never leave the fryer unattended because, without thermostat controls, the oil will continue to heat until it catches fire.

Never let children or pets near the fryer when in use or after use as the oil can remain hot for hours.

Use well-insulated potholders or oven mitts and wear long sleeves and safety goggles to protect from splatter.

Make sure the turkey is completely thawed before it is placed in a fryer.

Keep all-purpose fire extinguishers nearby.

If a turkey fryer fire occurs, call 911 immediately.

Here is a video that shows some of the dangers of deep frying turkeys.

And Now we have the Super Committee trying to cut costs by at least a Trillion dollars and they are doing it behind closed doors! Why??

Doesn't America need to know what they are doing instead of hearing the mainstream media propaganda that is doled out?

With all the problems that the world economy is now facing I believe it is more important than ever for the U.S. government to be open with all the negotiations that affect all Americans.

The Time for Transparency is Now! All meetings should be shown on C-Span! We are all affected by what is going on in Washington and they continue working behind closed doors.

They need to start working for the American citizens!

They envision change, solve problems and take risks.
They
launch new ventures, see them to fruition and then start or invest in
new ones. And even when there is a bump in the road, they adapt, change
course, and dive right in again. And they don’t like to be told they
can’t do it.

They’re successful serial entrepreneurs, and they’re a rare breed.

“These
are very elite people,” said Ted Zoller, senior fellow with The Ewing
Marion Kauffman Foundation, and the director of the Kenan-Flagler
Business School’s Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill.

“They are the top of the heap, the
entrepreneurs who are really sought after for their market insight, for
their knowledge of opportunities, for their strategic contacts, and for
their leadership abilities to organize teams and build companies,” he
said.

And their work is anything but mundane.

“They break
industry standards and look for opportunities to create new value where
it doesn’t exist, eliminate dysfunction, make things more efficient and
create products that don’t exist,” said Zoller, who has researched
serial entrepreneurs. “In a word, they are painkillers. They look for
markets that are in pain and come up with solutions.”

Next week
commemorates Global Entrepreneurship Week, with dozens of events, mostly
free, taking place across South Florida. The University of Miami, St.
Thomas University, Miami Dade College and Florida International
University will all host panel discussions, presentations, seminars or
contests to nurture developing entrepreneurial ventures.

True
serial entrepreneurs comprise a tiny subset of business people. While an
estimated 8 percent of all entrepreneurs launch a second venture, only
1.75 percent launch three or more, Zoller said.

Many times, they
grew up with a parent or a family member who was an entrepreneur. Often,
they don’t do well in conventional education, may show signs of
entrepreneurship at a young age and drop out to start a business, he
said.

Entrepreneurs may be rebels who defy authority and are
creative, tenacious and adaptable, said Jerry Haar, associate dean and
director of the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center at Florida
International University’s College of Business Administration.

“And they tend not to have bruised egos, so they bounce back real fast,” he said.

Moreover,
they may have been “deprived of something, whether political or
economic,” Haar said. “So, you have that kind of resilience — the
ability to show others that you have what it takes.”

A serial entrepreneur creates a business, grows it, then sells it or takes it public, bringing in loads of cash.

They may stay on for a period of time, and then go off and create a new company.

To Read the Entire article click below!

Read more: http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/11/06/v-print/2489691/what-drives-serial-entrepreneurs.html#ixzz1d2Rrd3yR

Why It Is Important To Set Goals Properly. Part III

In your quest for success the
importance of setting goals properly cannot be over emphasized. The thoroughness of your method will
determine the success or failure of your actual achievement. Setting a realistic goal involves planning
and research combined with a lot of creative thinking.

To think that you can just
say that your goal is to become rich and really expect your goal to manifest
itself is only an exercise of futility!

True goal setting involves so
much more!

I’m going to tell you about a
friend named Rick. His story demonstrates
the importance of achieving success with proper goal setting along with
planning and a lot of perseverance.

I met Rick right after he
began his business as a carpentry contractor.
He told me that he planned to get rich and retire with his business and
like a lot of people starting business he was soon swamped with all the tasks
and paperwork trying make his company successful.

Long story made short; he
soon went broke and had to declare bankruptcy!
The thing is; he learned some valuable lessons going through the
process.

After his ordeal he came to
me as a client and asked for my assistance in restructuring his business and starting
over. We had several meetings and I
counseled him during his planning. As a
result he proclaimed that his experience along with my advice made him aware
that he was a business man in the business of contracting and not a
construction man in business.

We spent hours planning and structuring
his business model and thinking about the systems that would be essential to
the success of his business. After
spending countless hours doing research and taking some evening courses to help
him in areas where his education was lacking; he decided it was time to renew
his career in the construction industry.

He began with a small construction
company and implemented the systems that we discussed. The company grew both in volume and with
employees. It didn’t take long before he
was making a comfortable living and his company was doing work throughout the
state. The company was very successful!

The main objective in his
business model was to make the business functional without him but to have the
systems set up so that he was always in the loop and knew how everything was
working.

His success with the
carpentry company gave him the ability to open another company; this one was as
a roofing contractor. Again, he set up
the roofing company using the same business model and the systems that he
redesigned to accommodate the roofing industry.

Once the roofing company was
profitable and going at the pace Rick felt comfortable with; he started another
business; this time he opened a drywall company. Using his same business model and systems it too
was profitable.

Ten years later while we were
having coffee he told me that he decided to retire and do some traveling. By this time he had bought a ranch in Wyoming
and he also owned a home in Mexico. He
had five (5) separate successful businesses!
I asked what he was going to do with his businesses.

He
smiled and reminded me that part of his goal setting and business plan was his
exit strategy when he decided to retire.

Each
company was an entity in itself and he had set up a purchase plan for his
employees. He had structured financing
with several banks that would allow his key people to buy him out. This financing along with some creative
planning allowed him to walk away with more money than he would ever need.

His story is the perfect example
of proper goal setting and planning that I can think of, although, it did take
a lot of perseverance and hard work. It
does show how good planning and good systems can lead to success!!

One of the best tools that I have seen for setting goals and monitoring your progress as you achieve your goals is Goals On Track.

Here is a short video showing how the system works so sit back and enjoy the show!

If you would like to try the system with a 60 day guarantee please

		    Sample
		          ideas

The best part about this compilation
of money-making ideas is the ability for you to see opportunities from
1,000 different perspectives and get your own creative juices flowing.

Even if I were to think of 20 new money-making ideas every year, this collection
  represents
        50 years worth of ideas!

Let me show you what I'm talking about.

Once you've experienced 1,000 unique and unusual money-making
ideas... in every field of human endeavor... your brain is going to burst with
        new possibilities.

But
to start with...let's just try 10

Would you have EVER thought
                    of these, for example?

371. Real estate brokers
earn a 6% commission on every house they sell. That's $6,000
every time they sell a $100,000 house. So with all that
profit potential, the real estate business is extremely
competitive. But a similar business - with similar profit
potential - exists, yet there's absolutely ZERO competition.
Instead of brokering houses, what about brokering cars?
Most people are forced to try and sell their used cars
themselves. But if you offer to do all the work for them
for a 6% commission, many many people will take you up
on your offer. I certainly would. The owner cleans it up
and certifies that it's running okay. Then all you have
to do is the same thing a real estate broker does - advertise
it for sale and then "show" it to prospective buyers. On
                      a $10,000 car, your commission would be $600, so I don't
                      see any reason why this couldn't be a $60,000 a year part-time
                      business, at least.

372. We live in a celebrity culture. But we also live in a throw-away
culture. A man in Florida is taking advantage of these two tendencies
simultaneously. First, he created a list of all the "celebrities" in
his area. Then, he determined the garbage pick-up routes for those areas.
Early in the morning, before the garbage truck arrives, he scopes out
the "celebrity trash" for anything interesting. Occasionally he finds
some amazing things... with real collectibility. Once he found a celebrity's
entire album collection in 4 paper bags on the curb! (Apparently the
celebrity had re-purchased everything on CD.) Because of the provenance
of this collection, he was able to sell it for thousands!

373. Local professionals are always looking for ways of attracting
new clients. They also tend to be too busy to actively promote their
practice. Here's a way of taking advantage of those two facts. If you
can write, there's a tremendous market for ghostwriting articles for
these professionals. These articles are intended to be submitted to their
local newspapers. In other words, you could approach a local attorney
and offer to write him 52 weekly articles that he can submit to the local
newspaper. This will provide the attorney with excellent publicity and
it also increases his credibility as a local expert. And as long as your
rates are cheaper than traditional newspaper ads of the same size, it
makes financial sense for him. And it's not just attorneys you can sell
this service too... accountants, dentists, bankers, chiropractors, eye
doctors, dermatologists, travel agencies or anyone else who can benefit
from a weekly column in their local paper.

374. The reason why pizza is so popular in America is because
of home delivery. I know people who aren't even particularly fond of
pizza, but who order it anyway because they don't have any food in the
house and because they don't want to go out. Here's a way to take advantage
of that tendency. Offer a service that turns EVERY restaurant in your
area into a "home delivery" restaurant. By offering a flat fee of say,
$5 or $10, to home-deliver items from any restaurant, you will be absolutely
SWAMPED on the weekends. I know a guy who does this JUST for the local "Outback" restaurant,
and he gets 15-20 orders a night on Friday and Saturday. And since he
only delivers to homes with about a 5 mile radius, he doesn't waste much
time. This would also be the kind of business where you could actually
hire a couple of drivers on-the-cheap, and expand the business tremendously.

375. Almost every medium-to-large business has an "employee manual" and
99% of the content in it is completely independent of the company. In
other words, the employee manual at Company A, with just a few changes,
could work just as well as the employee manual for Company B. So here's
how to make money with this. Get ahold of as many employee manuals as
you can and come up with a "template" that covers the bulk of the material
in typical manuals. Now, approach medium-sized businesses that SHOULD
have an employee manual, but don't, and offer to create an employee manual
for them at 1/10th of the cost they could do it themselves. You've already
got the template written. Just fill in the specific information regarding
that particular company, and get paid. You should be able to make $2,000
or so per company, and the whole thing could literally be done in one
day! Your potential in this kind of business depends entirely on how
well you can market yourself, but there are at least 1,000,000 businesses
out there in need of this service!

376. Used books are not created equal, but people having yard
sales seem to think so. You can buy an entire box of old books for $1
at a yard sale, and then turn around and take some of the better items
to a used book store and get $10 or more. This might take some practice
and experience at being able to spot what used book stores want, but
any sort of how-to book or popular novel within the past few years will
do well. Books that are local in nature are GREAT sellers. You're not
going to get rich this way, but during the summer, you can hit 5 or 6
yard sales a day and earn $50 a day pretty easily.

377. There's a man where I live who makes a decent living by collecting
wildflower seeds. There is a huge national movement to return to native
plants, and almost every state has a "Native Plant Society" of one sort
or another. There are also a number of groups dedicated to landscaping
with native (as opposed to invasive) species, such as "Wild Ones". All
the members of these organizations are potential customers for wildflower
seeds, and I think you'll be surprised at the prices that these seeds
go for. Go online and do some research about the best way to harvest
seeds, and also to browse through some wildflower seed catalogs and have
a look at the staggering prices.

378. When a very popular movie comes out, it's almost impossible
to get tickets on opening night. Two local guys have turned this fact
into a business. When blockbusters like Independence Day, Star Wars Episode
II, Matrix 2, etc. come out, they buy tickets early and then actually
scalp them right at the movie theater for $20 each. When true fans show
up at the theater and are told that all of the showings are sold out,
many of them will happily fork over the extra money to see the film they've
been waiting for... rather than having to go home empty handed. It's
downright conniving, but these guys make about $400 a night when a well-hyped
        movie opens.

379. Almost every state has an agency in charge of unclaimed money,
and it's usually part of the state's treasury department. If you've never
investigated this, it can be quite amazing how much unclaimed money there
is in the world. I looked myself up on a couple of unclaimed money websites
and found that I was owed $65 from a deposit I made with an electric
company 20 years ago. That's a pretty small sum, but there are people
who are literally owed hundreds of thousands of dollars (usually from
abandoned or unknown bank accounts). I propose that you find these people
and tell them that they're owed this money... in exchange for a 1/3 commission.
These states do not actively seek out these people, so some of them will
never know that they're owed money unless you find them and tell them.
And by providing this service, you can reap some pretty significant commissions
yourself. First, design a simple contract and have your lawyer review
it. You want to make sure that you get your cut when you tell the person
about their unknown money. Then, search the records of unclaimed money
(you should be able to get this information in a computer printout -
directly from your state government) and find the people who are owed
the most money. Next, find them. You can use switchboard.com or other
online people-finders. Once you find them, tell them that they're owed
some money, but they have to agree in writing to give you a "finder's
fee" for providing them with the details. If they agree, you get your
cut. If they don't, you just move on. I've heard there are people earning
$5,000 a day using this approach. I can't promise you'll make that kind
of money, but the principle is absolutely sound.

380. We live in security conscious times, and most neighborhoods
would appreciate having a dedicated security patrol. You could approach
homeowners in some of the nicer neighborhoods in your area and ask if
they'd be interested in a personal nightly security patrol for just $19.95
a month. Many people will take you up on your offer, and you will eventually
have 250 homes as part of your patrol network. That's nearly $5,000 a
month and you've got your entire day free. Also, your only real expense
is a few gallons of gasoline.

There is a 60 day guarantee! If you are not completely satisfied all your investment will be returned!
That is just a sample, of course. My collection contains 990 more

Part II

Most people tend to try to set their goals in a hap hazard manner. That is they think that they are setting a goal when they are really dreaming and doing some wishful thinking. I touched upon this in my last article but I am going to review this because it is very important!

Your mind is an amazing thing and once you set it in motion with a serious goal you will achieve it! That being said; you must utilize your whole being in setting your goal; completely immerse yourself in all the steps that you think must be taken to reach your dream. Do not set a goal without completely thinking it through to the end.

If you are not careful you might reach your goal but fail in the end!

I am going to share a short story about another friend of mine and his journey in pursuit of success. His name is Sid and he wanted to be a successful construction contractor.

He told me that he wanted a construction company that targeted government projects. He reasoned that the money was guaranteed even though he would have to do a lot of paperwork. He wanted to have estimators, superintendents and secretaries. He thought by having all the main areas covered that his company should be successful. One part of his dream was to have a million dollars in the bank with a lot or work on the books.

Sounds like a good substantial goal doesn’t it?

It was; as far as he went in his goal setting plan. The problem was; he didn’t consider everything that goes into a successful construction company.

There are systems that must be developed and implemented. A good team needs to be gathered and they all must be sold on the dream. How far does the business go and what are the plans for the company’s long term growth along what exit plans are established?

Within a short time Sid did have his construction company going and it was successful. He assembled his basic team; he had a secretary, an estimator and several superintendents along with a core crew that he could count on to enlarge as needed.

He trained his team and while the company was smaller it was very successful, however, as the company grew he found that he was spending most of his time solving issues that occurred in the field.

After a while it became apparent that Sid had lost sight of the where the company was going. Soon some of his older superintendents left and went to work for other companies and his new superintendents were not as good as his older ones. They failed to get the training that he had given his original crews.

His company continued to grow but he was spending more and more time on the road because the territory of the company had spread across several states. Sid found himself on the road visiting the jobsites three (3) to four (4) days a week. This time should have been used to examine the systems and restructure them as needed.

The money going through his bank account far exceeded the millions of dollars that he had set his sights on but very little was sticking! Most of the money was going to pay everybody else and very little was accumulating. He failed to emphasize that in his original plan and goal.

Everybody thought that Sid was extremely successful but he felt like he had a tiger by the tail. He had to keep hustling because he had no real exit plan!

After a time Sid completely burned himself out. He closed his business and sold his equipment. By the time the dust settled he had very little for himself and his family. During his pursuit of success his wife had divorced him and took the kids.

The last time I saw Sid he left the state and found work somewhere else. I was sad to see him go because he had put his heart and soul into his company. He just failed to complete his plan when establishing his goal.

He did reach his goal! He had a good sized successful company and had all the employees that he had wanted. There were millions of dollars that were going through the bank account. As I said before, very little of the money he made went into profit. He was always one step ahead of the tax man and the bill collectors.

In setting your goals you need to be very thorough and think of all the contingencies. Then as you are on your journey you must constantly be aware of the changes and you must be flexible enough to meet the changes that you will encounter along the way!

Sid was too busy dealing with issues and didn’t have the time to change his course. This is an example of somebody working too hard making a living and not having the time to make his fortune.

Be careful before releasing your mind in pursuit of your goal! Make sure you know what you are going after! I have found that if you take care of the little things; the big ones will take care of themselves!

Dare to dream but when setting your goals make sure that you do a thorough research about where you intend to go along with what you must learn and how you may have to change! Be flexible and be willing to change with the times and circumstances.

No dream or goal is too small if you do the necessary planning!

Whether we end up being successful or a failure is a choice that each of us must make. Life is a do it yourself adventure, although, you will never hear a failure admit that!

Some people are born into wealth and certainly have an edge over others in their pursuit of success. But being born wealthy does not guarantee that a person will be a success; it only means that they were dealt a better hand and have the means to make themselves successful. The media always has stories of wealthy failures; those people that made poor choices.

The most inspiring stories are those that involve people who have overcame extreme poverty and other obstacles to achieve their success. As ironic as it sounds; most of these people have used their handicaps as their inspiration to improve themselves and their lives. They made a conscious choice; to change their lives and to become successful!

There is a common thread in their stories that most have hit a point in their lives where they decided that they would not accept living as a victim. They made a conscious choice to better themselves!

If you look at it objectively; the only thing in our life that we cannot choose is into what family we are born! The rest of our lives are filled with choices and we can make those that affect the course of our lives.

So how are you handling those choices? Are you pushing yourself to succeed or are you kicking back and accepting what others are giving you? It may be great today but you may not be happy when you hit the finish line!

To succeed you have to set a goal and learn the other components about what it takes to be a success. This all starts with a basic education, unfortunately, most people think that learning ends upon finishing their basic education. This is entirely false! Your real education begins with what you choose to do after the formal education ends

Make a commitment to yourself; never stop learning! The world is filled with more opportunities than you could ever imagine and success is waiting for you!

A wise man once said “if you want to succeed; do the opposite of what the majority of the people are doing with their lives!” Remember that you have the power to choose your destiny! Why not choose the path to success?

Watch this short video with Will Smith and share his thoughts about success!
